ICE says August mortgage delinquency rose to 3.53%, foreclosure inventory flat

Intercontinental Exchange released its August 2026 First Look mortgage data, showing the U.S. delinquency rate rose 14 basis points to 3.53%. Foreclosure starts fell 6% on the month and prepayment speeds dropped to a 17-month low.
