Chemours backs automakers’ call to extend EU PFAS transition period beyond 2040

The company backed industry submissions seeking more time for fluorinated refrigerants in mobile air conditioning, citing a lack of a direct replacement for R-1234yf. It said PFAS-free options under review include propane and CO₂.
