China's yuan eases after Trump-Xi meeting; exports seen underpinning strength

The onshore yuan slipped 0.03% to 6.7142 per dollar in late-morning trade, while the PBOC set its midpoint at 6.7399, the strongest since Feb. 3, 2023. Analysts said strong exports should keep the currency on an appreciation path, though at a slower pace.
