PepsiCo will invest $1 billion in Colombia over the next five years, President Abelardo De La Espriella said on Sunday. He said the investment will be used to expand production, modernize operations and strengthen distribution in the country. De La Espriella wrote on X that the commitment will boost employment, support more than 2,000 farmers and strengthen Colombia's small shopkeepers. The announcement follows a weeklong visit to New York by Colombian Vice President José Manuel Restrepo and the country's economic team, during which they met with more than 100 corporate and capital markets investors.
