Sept 27 — The Chinese government has signaled it may allow some domestic companies, including ByteDance and Alibaba, to buy a new Nvidia chip designed for high-end professional computers, The Information reported on Sunday, citing two people familiar with the matter. China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology told some Chinese companies that the government intends to approve the purchases, the report said.
