Tropical Storm Gonzalo passes near northeastern Cabo Verde Islands

The storm was located about 35 miles south-southeast of Sal in Cabo Verde, with maximum sustained winds near 50 mph. Tropical-storm conditions are expected to continue over parts of the Cabo Verde Islands tonight.
