ECB's Vujcic warns diesel prices may boost euro zone inflation

Vice President Boris Vujcic said reduced refining capacity is likely to keep diesel prices high and feed into inflation.

FRANKFURT, Sept 25 (Reuters) — Diesel prices appear likely to stay high due to reduced refining capacity, raising broader gauges of inflation in the euro zone, European Central Bank Vice President Boris Vujcic said on Friday. "Energy prices, particularly diesel, will probably stay high for long and that will feed into the inflation because diesel is really in many products," he told an event at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. net)
