W.Africa Crude — Differentials head lower

LONDON, Sept 25 (Reuters) — West African crude oil differentials narrowed on Friday while high shipping rates weighed. Differentials were down nearly $2 across the board, a source said earlier this week, weighed down by high freight rates. Another trading source said that differentials for crude heading to Asia had also come down. The cost of shipping oil in the largest tankers, including on West Africa routes, has hit record highs this month following increased attacks on shipping. So far into the month, Nigeria has exported 1.15 million barrels per day of crude, while Angola has exported 1.04 million bpd.
