Sept 24 (Reuters) — STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex fell 1.67% to 73,580.54 and the broader NSE Nifty 50 declined 1.64% to 23,063.1, as surging oil prices stoked inflation concerns and weighed on sentiment..BO Rupee: The Indian rupee declined 0.2% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.96, as a jump in oil prices and little progress in U.S.-Iran talks raised concerns that inflation could prompt further global rate hikes. INR/ Government Bonds: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.79 rupees, with the yield up about 7 bps at 7.1141%, hurt by a relentless selloff in US Treasuries and growing expectations of a series of rate hikes by the RBI. IN/ Overnight Index Swaps: The one-year overnight index swap rate was up 7 basis points at 6.17%, while the five-year swap rate rose 12 bps to 6.66%.
