The ceremony marked the launch of the Company’s initial US$108 million investment portfolio, which contains positions in seven of the world’s leading private AI companies.

Joined by the Company’s management and advisers on the balcony, Vick thanked all who contributed to the successful fundraising, a defining milestone for the Company. In August 2026, Shaires completed a second tranche of institutional fundraising alongside a retail offer, bringing on board more than 670 new retail shareholders and establishing its concentrated portfolio of investments in AI, frontier technology and related infrastructure companies. The retail offer was the first ever to use the AIM’s Capital Access Window mechanism, enabling retail investors to participate in the fundraising on the same terms and at the same time as institutions.

Since completion of the fundraise, Shaires has closed investments in Anthropic and Stripe, alongside securing binding agreements or ongoing deployments in ByteDance, Moonshot AI, Figure AI, SandboxAQ, and Colossal Biosciences.
