UPDATE 1 — Delivery Hero CEO Östberg to stay on beyond March 2027 amid Uber's takeover bid

(Adds Uber takeover context in paragraph 3) Sept 24 (Reuters) — Delivery Hero said on Thursday that its co-founder and CEO Niklas Östberg would remain chief executive beyond March 31, 2027, contrary to the plans it had announced in May. The decision reflects a fundamentally changed situation related to Uber's ongoing takeover offer, Delivery Hero said. In July, Uber agreed to buy Delivery Hero in a deal valuing the German food delivery company at an equity value of $14.8 billion to create the largest food-delivery group outside China.
