MUMBAI, Sept 24 (Reuters) — STOCKS: The benchmark BSE Sensex was down 1.1% to 74,000, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 declined 1.2% to 23,178, weighed down by higher oil prices and rising wagers on Fed rate hikes in the near term..BO Rupee: The Indian rupee declined 0.2% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.90, hurt by soaring U.S. Treasury yields and a firmer dollar, while intervention limited losses. INR/ Government Bonds: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.89 rupees, with the yield up 6 bps at 7.1002%, hurt by a relentless selloff in US Treasuries and growing expectations of a series of rate hikes by the RBI. IN/ Overnight Index Swaps: The one-year overnight index swap rate was up 6 basis points at 6.16%, while the five-year swap rate rose 10 bps to 6.64%.
