German spot electricity contracts drop on falling wind supply
PARIS, Sept 24 (Reuters) — The German day-ahead baseload power contract rose 38.8% to €186.05 ($211.82) per megawatt hour by 0715 GMT on Thursday as wind power supply in the country was expected to plummet by nearly 80% ahead of the weekend, LSEG data showed. German wind power supply is seen dropping to 5.6 gigawatts on Friday from Thursday levels of around 28 GW, the LSEG data showed.
