MUMBAI, Sept 24 (Reuters) — Stocks: The benchmark BSE Sensex was down 0.9% to 74,166, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 declined 1% to 23,229, weighed down by higher oil prices and rising wagers on Fed rate hikes in the near term..BO Rupee: The Indian rupee declined 0.1% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.8825, hurt by soaring U.S. Treasury yields and a firmer dollar, while intervention limited losses. INR/ Government Bonds: The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 98.94 rupees, with the yield up 5 bps at 7.09%, hurt by a relentless selloff in US Treasuries and growing expectations of rate hikes by the RBI. IN/ Overnight Index Swaps: The one-year overnight index swap rate was up 5 basis points at 6.15%, while the five-year swap rate rose 8.5 bps to 6.63%.
