US natural gas inventories likely rose by 53 Bcf in the week to September 18th, according to a survey of 11 analysts, below the five-year average for the time of year * This would take total storage levels up to 3,351 Bcf. * Survey estimates ranged from a build of 49-58 Bcf. * The five-year average change for this period is a net injection of 76 Bcf. * Under these figures, the storage surplus over the five-year average would narrow to 95 Bcf from 118 Bcf the previous week. * The EIA will report the official figures at 10:30 ET September 24th.
