Russia's natural gas production rose 1.7% year-on-year to 49.8 bcm in August, according to Rosstat data cited by Interfax. * Total production from Jan-Aug 2026 was at 446.5 bcm, up 3.4%, or 14.7 bcm on the year. * Russia produced 663 bcm of gas in 2025, compared with 685 bcm in 2024.
