The OCT 26 NG contract is volatile in intraday trading as liquidity thins ahead expiry but up overall day/day * OCT 26 is trading at $3.003, up 1.28% on the day. * NOV 26 is trading at $3.142, up 0.80% on the day. * The prompt-month spread is trading at ($0.14). * Intraday front month volume on NYMEX is about 72,000 lots. * The front month pulled the bull trigger of $3.026 - the September 3rd high - in overnight trading, but rapid selling in American trading hours suggests traders are rolling positions to NOV after covering shorts in yesterday's session. OCT will expire on Monday September 28th and will enter the spot period at COB today, pushing traders to shed exposure. * Average L48 temperatures are forecast to be just below normal this week before rising above normal into early October but with cooler risk later in the two-week outlook. NOAA 6-14 charts show slightly above normal temperatures across most of the L48 except the northwest.
