Italy won't participate in Monte Paschi AGM on defence against Intesa

Italy will abstain from a vote at a Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) MIL:BMPS shareholder meeting on Oct. 29 called to approve defensive acquisitions to fend off a hostile takeover by Intesa Sanpaolo MILSEDEX:I05808, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said.
