TSX opens lower as gold, silver prices slip

Canada's main stock index opened lower on Wednesday, dragged down by materials shares as prices of precious metals including gold and silver slipped, while investors eyed Middle East peace prospects.The S&P/TSX Composite Index TSX:TSX fell 0.71% to 36,078.96 points by 09:32 a.m. ET.
