US NATGAS: Western US Gas Daily Fundamentals Report - Sep 23rd

West US Gas: Daily Fundamentals Report: Sumas traded up 13 cents yesterday, Malin fell 12 cents, and PG&E CG rose 12 cents. SoCal CG traded up 15 cents, bringing basis to +$0.68/MMBtu. SoCal and Sumas are strengthening on supportive weather, which will moderate through the weekend. * Weather is forecast to be normal for Phoenix, LA will be warmer than normal, and Seattle will be cooler than normal. For the 5-day window, LA CDDs are 30 days above normal and Seattle HDDs are 27 days above. For the 10-day, LA will be 57 CDDs above normal and Seattle will be 46 HDDs above normal. * Demand is up 449 MMcf/d to 10.3 Bcf/d today, and up 58 MMcf/d from last week. Demand is 0.2 Bcf/d below the 5-year average. Power demand is up 432 MMcf/d and res/com demand is up 8 MMcf/d. CA demand is up 361 MMcf/d, while AZ and NV are both up ~50 MMcf/d. * West net inflows are down 133 MMcf/d overnight to 9.0 Bcf/d. Canada imports are up 147 MMcf/d, Rockies net inflows are down 271 MMcf/d, San Juan is down 5 MMcf/d, and Permian flows are up 29 MMcf/d. Ruby and NWPL Rox flows are down but partly offset by higher Kern flows. * Mexico net exports are down 33 MMcf/d to 674 MMcf/d today after a 30 MMcf/d upward
