POWER: German Renewables Groups Urge Changes To EEG Draft

German renewable energy groups are urging the government to revise the EEG draft to better reflect project-specific market risks, including by introducing a market-value corridor, accounting for marketing and balancing costs and preserving scope for PPAs. * The groups say the CfD design should account for actual market-value-related investment costs and changes in marketing, accounting and balancing costs. * They also call for sufficient scope for competitive marketing models and PPAs. * The demands are aimed at addressing a draft rule under which operators would repay revenue above their winning bid, based on annual average market values, while bearing marketing and balancing costs. * Signatories include BSW Solar, BWE, BNE, BEE and ZVEH amongst others.
