LNG: Empty Qatari LNG Tanker Enters Persian Gulf

An empty LNG tanker owned by Qatar's Nakilat has made its way through the SoH to the Persian Gulf over the last few days, * The additional tanker will give Qatar more flexibility to manage storage at its Ras Laffan LNG facility and potentially signals preparations to increase shipments, * Qatar has been loading LNG onto available empty tankers inside the gulf and has also exported some of the fuel to Kuwait to manage storage and keep parts of the complex running at minimum levels. * Qatar's Ras Laffan plant can resume operations at undamaged parts of the facility "within a couple of weeks" once the strait reopens, Qatar's Energy Minister said on Sunday. * Qatar is currently exporting a very small amount of LNG through the SoH, the minister added.
