Asian cash markets finished mixed: the Hang Seng closed down 0.87 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed down 0.34 percent, the KOSPI closed up 0.9 percent and the ASX 200 closed up 0.38 percent. Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi down 3.68 percent, Alibaba down 4.53 percent, SoftBank Group up 1.09 percent, Mitsubishi UFJ down 0.88 percent and Tencent down 2.39 percent.
