French front-month power futures are trading lower amid softer EU gas prices, while forecasts suggest easing temperatures in early October, limiting risks of further heat-related nuclear plant curtailments. * France Base Power Week-Ahead down 1% at 154.5 EUR/MWh * France Base Power OCT 26 down 1.2% at 146 EUR/MWh * TTF Gas OCT 26 down 1% at 72.58 EUR/MWh * EUA DEC 26 up 0.4% at 87.04 EUR/MT * EEX French power futures aggregate trading volume was at 3,557 the previous trading day, compared with 3,919 the day before. * Nuclear availability in France edged up to 64% of capacity as of Wednesday morning, up from 63% on Tuesday, RTE data showed, cited. * French nuclear available capacity is forecast at 41.74GW on Thursday, from 41.55GW on Wednesday, Reuters data showed. * The latest ECMWF model run suggests mean temperatures in France will remain above normal until the start of October, when temperatures will ease back to briefly fall below normal, before rebounding above the seasonal average. * Mean temperatures in France are forecast at 19.21C on 24 September, compared with 19.0C on 23 September and the seasonal average of 16.2C. * French wind output is forecast at 1.84GW
