ASIA FX: IDR, PHP Play Catch Up With Lower Oil, BI Seen On Hold Later

South East Asia FX trends are mixed. IDR and PHP are firmer, while MYR is little changed. Broader FX trends are still favoured in terms of the dollar, with the USD BBDXY continuing to gravitate higher, last +0.1% higher to 1206.7. Oil futures are softer, while bond futures tick up, but this isn't impacting USD sentiment at this stage. Regional equity market sentiment is off earlier highs, while USD/CNH is back above 6.7000 post the tick up in the USD/CNY fixing for the first time since Sep 8. * USD/IDR spot is back close to 17800, up around 0.35% in IDR terms so far today. Yesterday's highs in the pair were at 17895. Note on the downside, the 50-day EMA support point is at 17764. The BI later is widely seen on hold but is likely to continue to emphasize financial stability. If BI does move today it would be a hike, which may be encouraging some squaring on USD/IDR longs after the recent surge high from Sep lows around 17500. * USD/PHP is back just under 62.60 currently, with earlier lows
