Grain futures slide as U.S. harvest progress aligns with estimates.
Corn, Soybean, and Wheat futures settled lower as U.S. harvest operations progressed in line with expectations. Corn harvest advanced to 13% complete, up 5% from the previous week, while good-to-excellent crop ratings remained unchanged at 57% — the lowest level for this time of year since 2023. Soybean futures saw two-sided trade before closing lower, with harvest reaching 12% complete. Wet field conditions have slowed progress for both crops in some areas. Wheat futures paced the decline, losing over 9 cents on the day, with the spring wheat harvest now 96% complete and winter wheat planting at 17%.
