Alibaba shares jump after unveiling new AI chip
Alibaba Group shares rose about 3% Tuesday after the company unveiled plans for a next-generation AI model and introduced a new in-house processor, with model size cited at 5 trillion to 10 trillion parameters.
Alibaba Group NYSE:BABA shares climbed about 3% Tuesday after the Chinese technology company laid out plans for a much larger AI model and introduced a new in-house processor. The company said its next-generation model could reach 5 trillion to 10 trillion parameters, a measure of the number of learned weights in the model.
