US yields edge higher as Fed hike expectations are weighed
US Treasury yields rose slightly as investors weighed lower oil prices against expectations for further Fed rate hikes.
US Treasury yields were a little higher on Tuesday as investors balanced lower oil prices with expectations for additional interest rate hikes from the Federal Reserve. The two-year US Treasury yield, which typically tracks Fed rate expectations, was also slightly higher.
