Brent drops below $100 on U.S.-Iran diplomacy hopes

Oil prices reversed gains after reports Iran offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the U.S. eases military pressure. Brent fell 2.6% to $97.76/bbl and WTI declined 3.1% to $92.78/bbl.
