Axa XL names Durkan head of private equity and business development for UK and Lloyd's

Axa XL has promoted Debbie Durkan to head of private equity and business development for the UK and Lloyd's, the company said on Tuesday. She will be based in London and assume the newly created role on October 1. Durkan would focus on building the private equity practice and positioning it as a significant part of the company’s UK and Lloyd’s product suite. She previously served as Axa XL's global distribution leader, having joined the company in January 2025.
