Socotec buys Italy's GIMAC in UXO risk management push

SOCOTEC Italia acquired GIMAC, an Italian specialist in detecting unexploded ordnance (UXO) and conducting explosive ordnance clearance. Deal expands SOCOTEC’s UXO footprint beyond Germany, where the group holds the top market position. GIMAC, founded in 2011, employs 65 specialists across Italy with the country’s highest qualification for onshore explosive ordnance clearance.
