Planet opens Berlin facility; Pelican satellites to start production this autumn

Planet Labs opened a satellite manufacturing facility in Berlin. The site is set to begin Pelican satellite production this autumn, targeting up to 60 satellites per year once scaled, with the first Berlin-built Pelican satellite due for completion before year-end and an early-2027 launch planned on Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum rocket.
