Hexcel launches new aluminum honeycomb for space launch vehicles

Hexcel launched HexWeb CRPAA-5052-F80-12.0 Vented Flex-Core, a 12 lb./ft³ high-density 5052 aluminum honeycomb. The product features integrated venting to manage pressure differentials and outgassing for composite sandwich structures in ascent conditions. It is rated for service temperatures up to 350°F (177°C) and will be showcased at CAMX 2026.
