Evonik to cut 3,200 jobs globally in reorganization

Evonik Industries AG is implementing a three-year reorganization program called "Evonik Tailor Made" to sharpen its growth focus. The program will cut 3,200 jobs worldwide, including 2,150 in Germany, to fund investments. Six major German production sites will receive defined roles, with implementation starting immediately. The company also plans to divest its C4 chemicals unit Oxeno and infrastructure arm Syneqt, exiting activities that lack strategic prospects. A second phase of the Tailor Made program is scheduled for 2027-2029, following the current 2024-2026 phase.
