MOL completes Danube Refinery rebuild after fire, restart planned for October

MOL has finished rebuilding the AV3 crude oil distillation unit at its Danube Refinery following a fire in October 2025. Commissioning and testing are scheduled to begin after equipment removal, with a phased production restart planned for October. The refinery is expected to return to full capacity once AV3 commissioning is completed, bolstering regional fuel supply security. Repair costs amounted to HUF 18 billion.
