Panasonic opens global lithium-ion R&D hub in Japan

Panasonic says it has opened a global lithium-ion battery R&D hub in Japan to accelerate development for automotive and data-center batteries, and to scale production for vehicle makers and data-center clients, while shifting its CES presence to industry booths.
