Southern Natural Gas Pipeline restricts deliveries due to capacity issues
Effective for gas day Sept. 22, 2026, Southern Natural Gas Pipeline restricted deliveries at multiple points including GCF US/SNG PT WENTWORTH CHATHAM, and segments 30, 50, 340, 380, 400 and 530. The pipeline also restricted incremental interruptible storage injections.
Southern Natural Gas said that, for the timely cycle for gas day Tuesday, September 22, 2026, and continuing until further notice, it is restricting deliveries after capacity issues. The notice, posted on 9/21/2026 with an effective date of 09/21/2026 and an end date of 09/22/2026, said there are no operational flow orders. Restrictions apply at the GCF US/SNG PT WENTWORTH CHATHAM Delivery Meter (Pin 935100), which exceeds operating capacity and is subject to reductions into OP Services.
The notice also listed segment restrictions at 30 (ONWARD), 50 (PICKENS EAST) BH, 340 (WHITE CASTLE), 380 (SNG — SESH), 400 (GWINVILLE) and 530 (OCMULGEE), all described as exceeding operating capacity, with reductions into OP Services or reductions through OP Services as specified. Southern Natural Gas said deliveries are being restricted because operating capacity has been exceeded. Reductions through OP Services restrictions are in place. Linepack payback is due from neither pipe nor shipper.
Under storage restrictions, incremental interruptible storage injections are not allowed, according to Notice # 711727. Type 3 / 4 OFO probability is listed as Unlikely (UL) on September 22, 2026. Type 6 OFO probability is also Unlikely (UL) on September 22, 2026, for short and long imbalances.
