Europe Gasoline/Naphtha — Gasoline refining margins rise
LONDON, Sept 21 (Reuters) — Northwest European gasoline refining margins gained more than $4 to a one-week high of $54.22 a barrel on Monday in heavy trading. About 22,000 metric tons of gasoline E5 barges traded, with Exxon Mobil and Petroineos selling to Gunvor and Vitol. A further 6,000 metric tons of gasoline E10 barges traded, with TOTSA selling to Varo. Russia's major Moscow refinery, owned by Gazprom Neft, has halted crude oil processing after fires broke out at its primary crude distillation units following a Ukrainian drone attack on September 20, three industry sources said. Russia sharply increased diesel exports to Central Asian countries in August despite a ban on supplies to most foreign markets, traders said on Monday, citing recovering output. The German government plans to approve its planned gasoline price discount on Monday and introduce it on October 1, a finance ministry spokesperson said. Bangladesh has raised fuel prices by up to 17.4%, piling fresh pressure on consumers and businesses, as the government moved to stem mounting losses from surging global oil prices and higher shipping costs linked to the Middle East conflict.
