Invesco survey: 86% of US retirement plan participants open to private markets
An Invesco survey of 517 US defined contribution participants found 86% are interested in adding private markets to retirement plans if risks and fees are clarified. The winter 2026 poll also showed 93% associate private markets with higher fees and potentially higher returns, with 58% viewing this trade-off positively. Risk tolerance was the main driver, with 65% favoring target date funds with a modest private markets allocation. Participants also backed AI as a 'copilot' for monitoring and rebalancing.
