Microchip completes acquisition of edge AI chipmaker Hailo

Microchip completed its acquisition of edge AI chipmaker Hailo on Sept. 21, 2026. Deal expands Microchip’s edge AI portfolio with AI accelerators and vision processors for computer vision, transformer-based models, multimodal workloads. Transaction is not expected to have a material impact on Microchip’s financial results. Hailo adds an ecosystem of more than 100 customers and a developer community exceeding 10,000 users.
