Waterloo Region union faces four-day deadline for labour deal after month-long delay

CUPE 1883 and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo will resume contract negotiations Tuesday with just four days to reach a deal before a strike deadline of 12:01 a.m. Saturday. Bargaining was paused for over a month due to the absence of a key member of the Region’s management team.
