Quest Diagnostics study finds 29.5% of Lyme patients show antibodies to other tick-borne pathogens

A Quest Diagnostics study published in JAMA Network Open found that 29.5% of patients with exposure to Lyme disease also showed antibodies to other tick-borne pathogens. The results, based on de-identified US test results from January 2021 through December 2025, suggest a risk of missed diagnoses and support broader, multi-pathogen testing.
