Sionna refocuses R&D on SION-451 and SION-2222 dual program

Sionna Therapeutics said it is refocusing R&D onto a SION-451 + SION-2222 dual program after halting SION-719. The company plans a Phase 2a trial in Q1 2027 for F508del cystic fibrosis and extended its cash runway into H2 2029, citing a ~46% staff cut and a $6.4M restructuring hit.
