First Phosphate study backs high-purity phosphate potential at Quebec deposit

First Phosphate reported a peer-reviewed study on its Bégin-Lamarche igneous phosphate deposit in Quebec, which indicated the formation of economic, phosphate-rich layers. Test work cited phosphate concentrate grades near 40% P2O5, supporting the potential production of purified phosphoric acid for LFP batteries. Geochemical results showed low chlorine and low deleterious trace elements, and the near-surface geometry and thickness of some layers pointed to potential open-pit mining scenarios.
