Axsome presents Alzheimer’s agitation survey results at Psych Congress

Axsome highlighted caregiver survey results at Psych Congress 2026 in New Orleans on Sept. 17-18, 2026. Polling of 751 U.S. Alzheimer’s caregivers showed 97% reported agitation reduced patients’ quality of life. Recognition lagged, with 76% wishing symptoms were identified sooner; 53% regretted delaying discussions with a healthcare provider. Unmet need remained high, with 93% seeking a drug that reduces agitation without adding negative side effects.
