Pirelli to trial Cyber Tyre technology with Rome Carabinieri

Pirelli has signed a memorandum with Italy's Carabinieri to trial its Cyber Tyre road-monitoring system on five Alfa Romeo Tonale vehicles in Rome. The system will collect tyre-sensor data on road conditions, combined with onboard camera feeds and AI, to identify road-surface anomalies and signage issues, aiming to support faster hazard detection and road maintenance planning.
