Fearnley Securities upgrades Maersk to 'buy', lifts target price

Fearnley Securities upgraded Maersk to "buy" from "hold" and raised its price target to DKK 26,000 from DKK 15,500, lifting estimates as the market is expected to remain higher for longer. The brokerage also raised Maersk's 2026 EBITDA estimate to $13.2 billion, citing firm freight rates and forward contracts. The 2027 EBITDA estimate was increased by 80% due to strong demand and terminal congestion expected to absorb fleet growth. Out of 24 analysts covering Maersk, one rates it a "buy", 12 a "hold", and 11 a "sell". Maersk shares rose about 2.7%.
