German spot power hits Dec 2024 high as wind power slumps
The German day-ahead power contract rose to its highest level since December 2024 on Monday, ahead of an expected slump in wind power generation. Wind power generation in Germany is set to fall by 22 gigawatts, consumption is seen up by 1.1 GW to 54.8 GW, and solar power generation is expected to remain largely unchanged at 12.8 GW.
