Asian markets close higher: Hang Seng +1%, Shanghai Composite +0.97%, KOSPI +1.65%, ASX 200 +0.01%

Asian cash markets finished higher: the Hang Seng closed up 1 percent, the Shanghai Composite closed up 0.97 percent, the KOSPI closed up 1.65 percent and the ASX 200 closed up 0.01 percent. Asian volume leaders were Xiaomi up 4.17 percent, SoftBank Group up 1.09 percent, Alibaba up 2.74 percent, Mitsubishi UFJ down 0.88 percent and AIA Group up 0.85 percent.
