Sycona shares rise on positive gene therapy trial results
Beacon Therapeutics, a Syncona portfolio company, is developing laru-zova for XLRP (inherited retinal disease). The stock jumped after positive drug trial results were reported.
Laru-zova, a gene therapy being developed by Beacon Therapeutics, a Syncona portfolio company, is aimed at patients with XLRP, an inherited retinal disease that causes progressive vision loss. There are currently more than 20,000 people in the US and Europe with the disease, for which there are no approved treatments.
